Please join us on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 2:00 for a memorial service and viewing to honor the life and legacy of Sylvester Raymond “Sonny” Mireles at the family home in Whittier. Food and refreshments shall be served. RSVP and schedule available here.

  • June 22, Walk with Ray

Location: Neighborhood near Bogardus home
Ray was famous in his local community for his evening walks around the neighborhood. He made many friends, both young and old, as he walked along Amber Valley and the surrounding streets. His family will be retracing his steps one last time with his walker, yellow safety vest and music. Neighbors are welcome to join in the stroll and share their recollections of Ray as we pass by. Monday, June 22nd, 2026 from 6PM to 7PM.

  • June 25, Funeral Service

Location: St. Bruno’s Church - 15740 Citrustree Rd, Whittier, CA 90603
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Bruno’s Church in Whittier. A burial service with military honors will be held immediately after at Queen of Heaven Cemetary in Rowland Heights. Vehicles will be escorted in a funeral procession to the cemetary.
